Exciting news for residents of Lakes of Savannah! As of Monday, Nov. 16, the much anticipated Brazoria County 288 Expressway will be open for travelers. The expressway will be free of charge from opening day until Nov. 29.
The new 5.2 mile expressway runs from County Road 58 north to the Brazoria County-Harris County line at Clear Creek. Toll charges for this stretch will be tag only at $1.80.
Residents and commuters are excited to see the completion of this project that has been in the works for almost 20 years. Families will enjoy reduced traffic and commute times as a result of the newly opened expressway.
