Pandemic Has Changed Homebuyers Needs

Recent events and changes have had homeowners reassessing what they deem necessary in their new home. Our time spent at home has shown us the importance of family, technology, fitness and work space. When it comes to home function, homebuyers have a list of new priorities.

Families have been spending more time at home and cooking more meals at the house. Desired home criteria such as larger pantries, functional kitchen space, useable outdoor patios and entertainment/media rooms have been added to the list.

Many parents and children were simultaneously working and schooling from home. Work spaces had to be formed to offer everyone their private and undisturbed space. For many, this model will continue for some time resulting in  buyers searching for a home office space and a quiet area to homeschool.

With gyms closing down for a period, many individuals still are uncomfortable participating in group fitness. Having a flex room to use as a personal fitness room has increased in priority for many home buyers. Communities with walking and biking trails like Lakes of Savannah have also become desirable.
