Nonprofit Aims for Bringing All-Inclusive Playground to Pearland

The Forever Parks Foundation is only $100,000 away from reaching its fundraising goal. When they hit their goal of $960,000 in donations, they will start constructing a new, all-inclusive playground in Pearland.

Their fundraising took off in May and got a massive boost in July when the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department issued them a grant for $750,000. This inclusive playground concept will allow children of all developmental stages and abilities a safe, fun, and nurturing environment to play. The new playground will include a sensory tunnel, a wheelchair swing, a music area, a bird-themed hut, and a 3-D image gallery walk. The playground even has equipment so that it can be used for physical therapy.

Forever Parks Foundation aims to hit its $960,000 goal by September 1st. After they make their goal, they will issue the order for equipment and plan to break ground at the Sports Complex at Shadow Creek Ranch in January 2022. They plan to complete construction in the spring of 2022.
