The Robotics Team at Nolan Ryan Junior High School recently had half of their team compete in the Hogg FLL Qualifier Tournament, while the other half competed at the Bammel FLL Qualifier Tournament.
Second place in Robot performance was awarded to the team members who competed in the Hogg FLL Qualifier Tournament. They also received the Judges Award.
Those team members who competed in the Hogg FLL Qualifier Tournament took a first place finish overall, second place in Robot performance and third place in teamwork.
All team members advanced to the Regional Championship Tournament that was held at the University of Houston, where the students competed together. The students placed second in Research Presentation for their animated presentation of their invention of bronchial stents as a treatment for asthma. They also placed third in Robot Performance.
