Stream Realty Partners of Houston recently purchased land on Pearland Parkway and confirmed plans to build a new shopping center. The Center at Pearland Parkway will be a 165,000-square-foot power center located at the northwest quadrant of FM 518 and Pearland Parkway. The center’s 27-acre development site is positioned directly adjacent to a new HEB grocery store under construction at Pearland Parkway and Broadwy.
According to Ralph Tullier, managing director of the retail division of Stream Realty Properties in Houston, the shopping center will be anchored by Ross and T.J. Maxx.
“We are extremely excited about the project and are planning to host a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction sometime next week,” Tullier said when contacted by The Journal on Wednesday (Feb. 12).
Construction is expected to begin this month. The shopping center is expected to open next fall.
“Stream has committed to building a high quality power center that we are confident will serve the needs of the community for decades to come,” Tullier, said. “A combination of tremendous housing growth in the trade area, and the development of both The Center at Pearland Parkway and the new HEB store, will further solidify this intersection as the dominant retail location in east Pearland.”
Stream Realty will provide development services for the project.
“Our development provides retailers with great spacing between the major retail nodes in west Pearland and Baybrook trade areas,” said Mark Sondock, managing director of Stream Realty’s retail division in Houston. “The Center at Pearland Parkway will provide the population in east Pearland, Friendswood and Alvin with more convenient access to a variety of shops, restaurants and service retailers.”
Stream Realty Partners will also provide leasing and management services.
