Savannah North Community Foundation Delivers New Tablets to Fort Bend Boys & Girls Club

Yesterday, board members of the Savannah North Community Foundation, a 501(c)4 not-for-profit entity, which serves as the charitable arm of Friendswood Development Company’s community of Lakes of Savannah in the Pearland area, delivered big smiles and great excitement to the kids at the Fort Bend Boys & Girls Club, which is leded by Director Anthony Johnson.

Kate Davis, President; McKinleigh Loftin, Vice President; and Bailey Cuadra, Secretary/Treasurer, presented the organization with eight new Samsung Galaxy tablets, which will be used to enhance the reading/literacy program; the tablets will also promote growth opportunities for their overall technology curriculum.

“Our goal is to put money back into the neighborhood in addition to partnering with organizations that are doing great work. We want the Foundation to provide new experiences for the neighborhood, in addition to giving back to the surrounding community,” said Davis.

The Boys & Girls Club mission is “to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.”

The Savannah North Community Foundation seeks ongoing philanthropic and partnership opportunities to serve its community.
