Second grade students enrolled in dual-language and cluster class at Savannah Lakes Elementary School presented a Living Wax Museum, following research guided by teachers using the Independent Investigation method.
According to Principle Sassin, "The Wax Museum allowed our students to have fun learning about famous people in our history, while also incorporating important skills that will help them throughout middle school, high school and even college."
After following all the steps of the Independent Investigation Method the students dressed up as the person they had studied. They acted as living statues in the school’s library awaiting passerbys to "press their button" and hear their story.
The students did an outstanding job and the community looks forward to the next "living wax museum."
