Join us in the challenge to be the healthiest community in Texas! The City of Pearland has accepted the challenge to compete against other Texas cities in the "Healthy at H-E-B Community Challenge," an 8-week competition to see which city can demonstrate the greatest commitment to healthy living! To kick things off, Pearland will host the ultimate picnic experience - "Picnic on the Parkway!" On Labor Day, September 2, a portion of Pearland Parkway between Oiler Drive and Wheatfield Blvd, adjacent to Independence Park, will be covered with turf and transformed into the best picnic spot in Pearland! Bring your family, friends and pets and come ready to play, eat and relax...all in the middle of the street!
While you're enjoying Picnic on the Parkway, you'll also have an opportunity to help Pearland prove that we are "Healthy to the Core!" You'll be able to register on-site for your family to become part of the official Pearland challenge team, and you'll get official "PearlandHealthytotheCore.com" wristbands to show your Pearland pride, courtesy of the Pearland Convention & Visitors Bureau and Pushlocal.com!
