The Pearland Parks and Recreation Department, funded by the US Department of Education supports after-school programs at four Pearland Independent School District schools. They provide outstanding ongoing enrichment programs for students enrolled in Pearland ISD's 21st-Century Community Learning Center's after-school programs at Sablatura Middle School and Carleston, Challenger and Lawhon elementary schools.
The program is held at each school twice a month to provide instructional programs about a number of topics, such as water safety, health and fitness, team building, fishing and more.
Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, Michelle Smith says, "Offering our resources to support Pearland's ISD's after-school program is one example of the city's commitment to youth." To learn more about these fun extracurricular activities visit the Pearland Parks and Recreation homepage.
