Alvin Independent School District is now offering students currently enrolled in grades K through 12 the opportunity to take Credit by Exam tests (CBE). The exams will be administered at Manvel High School from June 6th through 9th and at Alvin High School from July 11th through 14th. Exams can also be given at the Alvin ISD Administrative Building or at an individual campus by appointment.
Two sessions of testing per day will be offered with the first test starting at 8 a.m. and the second test starting at 1 p.m. and each session will have a three hour time limit.
Students must score 90 percent or better on exams to receive credit. Students have the opportunity to advance an entire grade level in elementary or junior high and students in high school can advance one or more classes.
Interested students can be registered now through April 29, 2011. Students and/or their parents should visit with their school counselor regarding registration and eligibility.
